1. About Us
This website is operated by 3DPRINTHIVE (“we”, “us”, “our”). We sell goods directly to customers through our online store. By accessing this website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
Our online store is hosted using services provided by SumUp, which also processes payments on our behalf. All purchases made through this website are contracts between you and 3DPRINTHIVE. SumUp does not act as the seller and is not responsible for the goods supplied.
2. Relationship with Other Policies
These Terms and Conditions should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, GPSR Compliance Policy, and Cookie Policy. Together, these documents form the complete agreement governing your use of our website.
3. Orders
Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase goods. All orders are subject to acceptance by us, and we reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion, including in cases of pricing errors, stock issues, or suspected misuse.
An order confirmation email confirms receipt only. A binding contract is formed when goods are dispatched.
4. Pricing and Payment
All prices are displayed in GBP (£) and include VAT where applicable. While we take reasonable care to ensure accuracy, errors may occur, and we reserve the right to correct them before dispatch.
Payments are processed securely by SumUp. By placing an order, you agree to your payment details being processed in accordance with their terms and policies. We do not store full payment card details.
5. Delivery
Delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to factors outside our control, including courier issues or customs processes.
Risk in the goods passes to you upon delivery. You are responsible for providing accurate delivery details and ensuring receipt of your order.
6. Cancellation, Returns and Refunds
6.1 Right to Cancel
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods.
You must notify us within this period, and you then have a further 14 days to return the goods.
6.2 Returns
Returned items must be sent back in a reasonable condition and adequately packaged. We recommend using a tracked service, as we are not responsible for items lost in transit.
6.3 Refunds
Refunds will be issued within 14 days of receiving the returned goods or evidence of return. Refunds will be made using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.
6.4 Return Costs
You are responsible for return postage costs unless the goods are faulty, damaged, or incorrectly supplied.
6.5 Exceptions
The right to cancel does not apply to:
- Custom-made or personalised items
- Goods produced to your specifications
6.6 Faulty Goods
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be as described, of satisfactory quality, and fit for purpose.
If a fault is present at the time of delivery, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund. You must notify us within a reasonable time of discovering the issue.
6.7 Condition of Returns
We may reduce the refund amount if goods show signs of handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics, and function.
7. Product Durability and Use
7.1 Nature of 3D Printed Products
Our products are manufactured using additive manufacturing processes. As such, they differ from mass-produced items and may exhibit characteristics such as layer lines, minor variations, and different durability properties.
These characteristics are inherent and do not constitute defects under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
7.2 Durability
Products are not indestructible, and their lifespan may be affected by use, environmental conditions, and material properties.
Normal wear and tear, gradual degradation, or performance reduction over time does not constitute a fault.
7.3 Intended Use
Products must be used only for their intended purpose as reasonably understood from product descriptions.
Items with articulated or moving parts are not designed to withstand excessive force or misuse.
7.4 Misuse
We are not responsible for damage caused by misuse or improper handling. This includes:
- Applying excessive force to components
- Bending, twisting, or overstressing parts
- Exposure to heat, sunlight, moisture, or chemicals
- Unauthorised modification or repair
Damage resulting from these actions will not be considered a fault.
7.5 Articulated Components
Products with moving parts are subject to wear. Repeated use may lead to loosening or breakage, which is considered normal unless present at delivery.
7.6 User Responsibility
You are responsible for ensuring products are suitable for the intended user and used appropriately.
8. Toy Safety, Compliance and Regulatory Marking
8.1 Product Classification
Some products sold may be classified as toys, while others may be decorative, collectible, or novelty items. Classification depends on the intended use and presentation of the product.
8.2 Toy Safety Requirements
Where products are classified as toys, they are designed and assessed with reference to applicable legislation, including the Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011.
Such products are intended to meet essential safety requirements relating to mechanical and physical properties, and, where relevant, material considerations.
8.3 UKCA and CE Marking
Where legally required:
- Products placed on the market in Great Britain will bear the UKCA marking
- Products supplied to the EU or Northern Ireland may bear the CE marking
These markings indicate conformity with applicable safety requirements. Not all products require such markings, particularly where they are not classified as toys or regulated goods.
8.4 Safety Warnings
Certain products may include small parts, moving components, or features that present risks if misused.
Unless explicitly stated otherwise:
- Products are not suitable for children under 3 years as some items may pose choking hazards and from small parts, these are clearly displayed on all item listings within our shop and at events.
- Adult supervision is recommended where appropriate
- Products should be used in accordance with their intended purpose
8.5 Limitations of Use
Products are not designed to withstand excessive force, impact, or improper use. Safety and performance may be compromised if used outside normal conditions.
8.6 Customer Responsibility
It is your responsibility to ensure that products are appropriate for the intended user, including consideration of age, capability, and supervision requirements.
